August is a Grade Quarter Horse gelding who came in with Kodah and Wallis after being reported to local law enforcement for obvious malnourishment. We were able to assist local law enforcement and the owner surrendered all 3 horses into the Rescue’s care. August was very skittish when he first arrived, but eventually became more and more comfortable with staff and volunteers. He was in rehabilitation for sometime trying to rebalance and, with all the wonderful staff caring for him, August made a full recovery. After 7 months at the rescue, we are happy to report that August found his forever home.
