Bloome

Bloome, our only Mustang, came to DCER in October 2022, surrendered by her owner’s family. Bloome’s owner was placed in memory care and her family needed to find a safe place for Bloome and two other horses. We do not know much about her past, but Bloome has been a delight to get to know. She is healthy with beautiful coloring in addition to her BLM tattoo on the left side of her neck. She has a kind nature and loves attention.  Bloome has done great in training – steady and sturdy. She is personable on the ground – halters, leads, and trailer loads well. Bloome will stay in training until she finds her new home. She is ready to go for an intermediate rider that is confident and can take charge. We feel she has great potential to do most anything her new owner desires. In general, Mustangs have muscular bodies and hard hooves, which makes them ideal for trail riding in addition to search and rescue.
